Mussoorie Hill station
Mussoorie is known as Queen of Hills which is situated in Uttarakhand. Mussoorie is above 2000 meters sea level. Mussorie is one of the hill station mostly visited by tourists. Here a shrub named mansoor grows in this area, that is why this place called masoorie. There is lots of tourist attractions in Mussoorie. Mussoorie is always cold, during summer also. The Mall Road
The Mall Road is situated in the heart of the city. The main shopping place in Mussoorie is Mall Road. It runs from the old picture Palace cinema spot, right down to the Library. Famous antique clock shops at the clock tower is also situated here.
Kulri Bazaar, is at the eastern end of the Mall road is a market place. Here you can see hotels tourist guest houses, lodges, eateries like Tibetan, Chinese and Mughlai and Continental. Coffer lovers will definitely like to drink coffee at Café coffee day and Barista. Kulri Bazaar is a place where you can get anything want from branded clothes, Electronics, CD etc., anything you name it you will get it here.
Library bazaar because of the 19th century Victorian style library at the end of the Mall at the end of the mall road. The Walks is an interesting option to people who love to visit the ancient places and like nature. Kempty falls is a falls one must visit while your trip to mussorie. Water falls from the lap of the mountain is a great picnic spot. The falls down from a high altitude and then splits into five streams. Kempty falls situated in Mussorie-Dehradun highway, attracts many tourists from all over India. Fishing also done after taking prior permission for Divisional Forest Officer, Mussorie in Kempty falls.
Lake Mist is a picnic spot, which is 5 km from Kempty falls with several restaurants, hotels and also a lake with boating facility. You can try the Mussorie lake because it is a picnic spot as well as boating spot also. Gun Hill also a place which you can visit which is situated 400 feet above the mall, it is said to be an ancient volcano. Here you can view the valleys and mountains which is also with full of restaurants.
How to Reach Mussorie
The nearest airport from Mussorie is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which is 58 kms from Mussorie. After landing here you can board a taxi or take a bus. If you are going by a rail the nearest railway station is Dehradun. From Stations you can either book a taxi or board a bus to Mussorie. Mussorie you can reach by road also. A 34 km drive from Dehradun you will reach mussorie. You can arrange taxi or buses from Haridwar, Delhi, Dehradun to reach Mussorrie.
