Kedarnath is one of the most holy town for Hindus and is situated in Uttarakhand state of India. It is one of the most important pilgrimage spot for Indians. It is one of the Char Dhams which is assumed to be the direct gateway to God. This spot or Kedarnath is situated in the Himalayas at an altitude of about 3584 metres above sea level. It is situated very near to the famous river Mandakini. Thousands of worshipers visit this place around the year. Due to weather problems this temples remains opened from the end of April to the beginning of November. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. There are more then 200 shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva in this religious place.
Religious belief about Kedarnath- There are many religious beliefs behind this famous place. It is said that Adi Shankaracharya had builted this temple. According to one more belief it is belived that the Pandavas did a very strong penance here to please Lord Shiva in Kedarnath, after winning the battle against the Kauravas. It is said that Lord Shiva refuges in Kedarnath in the form of a bull and went into the ground leaving his hump on the surface. How to reach Kedarnath
There is no direct link by choosing which one can directly reach Kedarnath. One have to trek almost 14 km through a tough road from Gaurikund to reach Kedarnath. However you can easily reach Gaurikund. Gaurikund is very easily accessible and is connected by road from all the major parts of Uttarakhand like Haridwar, Dehradun, Rishikesh etc.
By air- You can reach Gaurikund by means of air. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant situated in Dehradun the nearest Railway station is situated in Rishikesh.
Please don't mind it but please replace the word "myth" in your article with some other suitable word as the exact meaning of "myth" is in negative sense. I mean to say is myth actually means some some false belief as in you article it means a false religious belief and you can not say like that for a religion. It hurts some where in the heart. People may have their religious beliefs of their own or from the history or from religious books but they should not be called myth or false belief or a lie.
